  • 1 1/4 cups mix-ins of choice (dried cranberries, raisins, toasted nuts, chocolate chips, sunflower seeds, etc.) Adds variety and personal touch.

Preparation

  • Gather all your ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  • Combine the creamy peanut butter or almond butter with honey or pure maple syrup, along with the vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Add the oats, ground flaxseed, wheat germ (or extra oats), ground cinnamon (or pumpkin pie spice), and kosher salt. Stir until fully coated.
  • Fold in your chosen mix-ins until evenly distributed.
  • Line a baking pan with parchment paper and transfer the granola mixture into the pan. Press it firmly into an even layer.
  • Refrigerate for at least two hours until the mixture is firm.

Notes

These bars are excellent for breakfast or a midday snack, and can easily be sliced into smaller pieces for bite-sized treats. Store them in an airtight container for freshness.
