  • 100 g plain flour/all purpose flour (1/2 cup + 2 tbsps, gives structure)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (balances sweetness)
  • 50 g milk chocolate, chopped (1/4 cup, adds creaminess)
  • 50 g milk chocolate chips (1/4 cup, adds a sweet textural element)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter and dark chocolate together, stirring frequently until fully combined.
  • Once melted, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  • Gradually add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the egg mixture, stirring gently to combine.
  • In another bowl, sift together the flour and salt.
  • Gently fold the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in the chopped milk chocolate and milk chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, using a spatula to spread it evenly.
  • Bake the brownies in the preheated oven until the edges look set, but the center remains slightly soft.

Notes

Let the brownies cool completely before cutting for cleaner squares. Consider drizzling melted chocolate or caramel on top before serving.
