Preparation

  • In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped baking chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in short bursts, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the heavy cream until fully combined. Mix well until the cream is completely incorporated into the chocolate mixture.
  • Mix in the granulated sugar until evenly distributed within the chocolate mixture, ensuring it is glossy and thick.
  • Add the room temperature eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully combined.
  • Blend in the vanilla extract to enhance flavor.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture using a rubber spatula, mixing gently to avoid overmixing.
  • Finally, fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs, about 25-30 minutes.
