  • In a food processor or blender, combine the drained and rinsed black beans, 2 to 3 tablespoons of water, eggs, and applesauce. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Add in the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Blend until thoroughly mixed, ensuring the chocolate chips remain somewhat intact.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and level the mixture evenly. Sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top if desired.
  • Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool in the pan before cutting to achieve a better texture.
