Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare your baking pan by greasing it lightly or lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the unsweetened cocoa powder and granulated sugar; stir until fully blended.
  • Add the drained and rinsed black beans to the bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour in the melted unsalted butter and mix until the beans are well coated.
  • Sprinkle in the ground cinnamon and add the large eggs; whisk until the mixture is well combined.
  • Add the baking powder and fine salt and mix until incorporated.
  • Introduce the vanilla extract into the batter and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Notes

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing for cleaner edges. Store them in an airtight container for a few days.
