Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to a suitable temperature for baking.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and kosher salt.

Mixing

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted and cooled unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
  • Add the vanilla extract and large egg to the butter and sugar mixture. Blend until fully incorporated.
  • Gradually incorporate the dry ingredient mixture into the wet ingredients using a rubber spatula.
  • Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop the dough onto a prepared baking sheet, spacing them a couple of inches apart.
  • Sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top of each cookie before baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven and watch for the cookies to turn golden brown around the edges.
  • Once done, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
  • Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
