  • 1 packet vanilla sugar or 1 tsp vanilla extract, enhances overall flavor
  • 3 pieces eggs binds ingredients together
  • 50 g flour provides structure
  • 50 g walnuts or pecans adds crunch and nutty flavor
  • 2 tbsp sliced almonds optional addition for texture
  • 1 pinch salt balances sweetness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to a suitable temperature as specified in your baking instructions.
  • In a mixing bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  • Once the chocolate and butter mixture has cooled slightly, add the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix well.
  • Add in the vanilla sugar or vanilla extract, and then crack the eggs into the mixture. Stir until combined.
  • Gradually fold in the flour and a pinch of salt.
  • Finally, add the chopped walnuts or pecans, along with the sliced almonds if using them. Gently fold them into the batter.

Baking

  • Pour the brownie batter into a greased baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
  • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake until the edges are firm but the center still appears slightly soft.
  • After baking, remove the pan from the oven and allow the brownies to cool in the pan for a while before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

These brownies can be enjoyed at different times throughout the day. Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to three days.
